For removing the adapter sleeves on the steering column on VW vehicles, e.g. Golf II / Golf III / Golf IV, Jetta / Passat from '88 / Vento.
By placing the clamping device on the adapter sleeve and then tightening it with the sliding sleeve, the spindle can be screwed against the steering column with a size 22 key or socket and thus the adapter sleeve can be removed.
This is necessary for Repair work, e.g. on the indicator switch, etc.
